Welcome to Central & Eastern European Outsourcing Summit 2007
Dates of the Event: 12 – 14 September, 2007 Venue: 1-A Hrushevsky Str., Kiev, Ukraine
The Summit will be held in downtown Kiev, on top of a green hill over Kreschatik, the main street of the city, nearby two picturesque parks, one of which was laid back in 1741. This is a truly historic place, located at the intersection of Kreschatik with three roads leading to other ancient quarters of the city – Pechersk, Podol and Upper Town. In the late XVIII-th century it was the venue for popular horse trade fairs.
On May, 8th, 1892, right from here, current European Square, the first in the Russian Empire and the second in Europe, electric street car service was inaugurated. The route connected the main street with the lower part of the city, Mail Square of Podol.
One of the most spectacular buildings over the European Square was that of the Merchants’ Assembly – now the National Philharmonic Society. Just across the square was another architectural landmark - the Slavic Choir Building. Now on this spot stands “DNIPRO” Hotel, one of the best four star hotels in Ukraine.
As for the venue for the First CEE Outsourcing Summit, this is the unique building of Kiev’s oldest Puppet Theater, renovated in 2005, named the Best Edifice of the Capital last year. The best painters and restorers of Ukraine had been working over exclusive mosaic pictures at 8 dials of tower clocks, decorating this theater’s façade.
