When investing into Ukrainian software development, it is not really a matter of investing into buildings or computers, the real costs is the investments needed into creating a good working environment as well as collecting and training the talent, - human capital.

• Outsourcing of software development is very much a matter of integrating cultures, both country and company cultures, in order to reach sufficient levels of productivity, this takes time and cost investments.
• Increasing demand for developers in Ukraine, have not only increased salaries but have also created an environment where companies needs to invest into the “soft” package around the employees.
• Increasing costs for offices as well as the rapid salary increases makes outsourcing to Ukraine more expensive. This increase the demand from clients also to become more productive, this can be a challenge with high employee turnover and salary increases depending on increasing market prices rather than on productivity.
